FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera

Silk’s use high-end FLIR Thermal Cameras which were designed specifically for the Building Inspection Industry. These took a significant investment, however because we believe in doing the best job for our customers we stay away from the low quality thermal cameras that others may be using.

We suggest that if you are shopping around for the “best price” termite inspection, keep in mind that a cheaper option could ultimately cost you more in the long term.

Your home is a big investment, so why take a risk on low-quality alternatives?

Moisture Meters

Moisture Meters are used to find water leaks and moisture through varying building materials.

In some circumstances, a good moisture meter can also detect termite nests in wall voids.

Borerscopes

Borerscopes are used to further investigate suspicious areas for termites.

This is done by drilling small holes and then inserting the probe of the Borerscope into these holes to view areas which are otherwise inaccessible.

Termidor

Silk’s have proudly used Termidor on thousands of termite infestations treatments over many years.

We believe that Termidor is the best termite product available on the market today – to date, we have never had to perform a warranty service on any building that has been treated with Termidor.

Nemesis Termite Monitoring and Baiting Systems

Silk’s prefer use Nemesis Termite Stations in high termite risk environments as a back up or early warning system around a house treated with Termidor.

Where appropriate, we will instruct the home owner how to inspect this system to help them take a proactive role in deterring termite activity around their home.
